Overview
The Lodge is a 4 bed registered, large purpose built home, providing a light and modern accommodation complete with 3 generous ensuite bedrooms. The home is registered to provide care and support for children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, as well as learning disabilities. The Lodge, however, specialises in supporting young people with both physical and learning disabilities and is built to provide such bespoke support. In addition to the 3 bedrooms the home has two large living spaces with balcony access, an incredible sensory room and disability access throughout.
The home provides a perfect feeling of openness and space and is large enough for our young people to access their own living spaces if required, or come together in living spaces for a more sociable time. Each bedroom has been specifically designed to provide the required facilities and allow young people to have a sense of belonging and a place that they can call home, whilst still meeting their physcial and learning needs.
The Lodge sits within its own private garden and is surrounded by 9 acres of land with stunning views of the countryside. This naturally creates opportunities for the young people to learn to self-regulate their own emotions and manage this in a peaceful environment. It’s close proximity to Bishop Auckland and Barnard Castle allows easy access to all the necessary local amenities, allowing all children there to feel a sense of social and community value.
